Dr. Parker shared the Personnel Report was updated today and a Destruction of Records form from Mt. Comfort Elementary was added.
Mrs. Freeman made a motion to approve the agenda. Mrs. Walls seconded the motion. Motion carried 4-0.

Ambassadors Program Presentation
Minutes
Mrs. Bond gave the Ambassadors Program Presentation. She thanked the school board and administrative team for their support of the program. Overall there are 92 Ambassadors that have graduated and are a part of the community since 2020. Applications are now open for the 2024-25 Cohort.

AP World Textbook Report
Minutes
Dr. Shipley discussed the course added at Mt Vernon High School, AP World History course. He shared the textbook that was chosen and stated the book will be available in the administration office for review. After review the book will brought to the school board in July for approval.

Mr Gray shared the consent agenda. Mr. Edwards made a motion to approve the agenda. Mrs. Freeman seconded the motion. Motion carried 4-0.
Mr Smedley introduced Ashley Ridenour as the new Assistant Principal for Special Programs. Mrs. Ridenour expressed her appreciation for the opportunity in the new position and stated she is ready to make a different with the students in these programs.

Mr. Elkins shared the updates to Policy F250 which the board reviewed last month, he asked for approval of the updates. Mrs. Walls made a motion to approve the updates to Policy F250. Mr. Edwards seconded the motion. No discussion, Motion carried 4-0.

Dr. Parker presented the first reading of the policy updates for A301, A300, B150, C175, D200, E125, G360, and F125. He asked for review of the updates and the board will discuss and votes on the updates at the July board meeting.

Mr. Elkins presented the update on school meal prices for students for the 2024-25 school year. Adult prices will be adjusted at a later date. Mrs. Freeman motioned to approved the meal prices for 2024-25 school year. Mr. Edwards seconded the motion. Mrs. Freemas expressed she was happy to not seen and increase for families this year. Mr. Elkins agreed it was good to see that prices will hold steady for students. Motion carried 4-0.

RESOLUTION 2024-03 APPROVAL TO USE TRUSTINDIANA

Mr. Elkins reported on information from TRUSTINDIANA for a new investment opportunity. Mrs. Walls made a motion to approve the use of TRUSTINDIANA. Mrs. Freeman seconded motion. Mrs. Freeman asked if the board would get reports on when it is transferred. Mr. Elkins stated he can share with the board update them to see transactions. Motion carried 4-0.

Dr. Shipley reviewed the textbook that was shared last month for Interpersonal Relationships course. He shared one person did review the book and gave feedback with approval and appreciated the opportunity to review the book. Mr. Edwards made a motion to approved the textbook. Mrs. Walls seconded the motion. Mr Gray shared is appreciation of Dr. Shipley and sharing information. Motion carried 4-0.

Hancock Co. RDC - Mr. Phil Edwards - Was unable to attend the meeting.
McCordsville RDC - Mrs. Shannon Walls - Shared the updated information on roundabouts and stop lights to better manage traffic. Notifications on accessed values of TIF's were shared but nothing related to the school. A second developer is being reviewed as a second phase of the McCordsville Town Center for a 1000 multi family housing unit.
MVEF - Mr. Chad Gray - No information from the Foundation was available.

Dr. Parker shared Mr. Elkins was in attendance at the HC RDC meeting on a discussion for a hearing of additional appropriations for the Career Center. Dr. Parker and Mrs. Walls will be on a committee with a study of affordable housing for teachers using tax dollars. Dr. Shipley and a group of several teachers and administrators just returned from St. Louis for a week of PLC training. July 4th Holiday offices and buildings will be closed.
